Artist Spotlight is now looking for 3 up and coming aspiring film composers! In an effort to find and mentor the next new talent in the film, TV and media industry, we have put together our first mentorship competition.
Chrystal Ellzy got her start at Tyler Perry Studios as the Writer's Assistant. Since then she's written on several Tyler Perry shows including House of Payne and Meet the Browns. She's also worked on the Rickey Smiley Show and Mann & Wife. With her producing partner and husband, Jamall Ellzy, Arrowfish Entertainment was created which features the original one hour drama, Castle Ridge.
After winning the 1996 Comic Relief Comedy Festival Funniest New Comic Award, Lamont took his comedic writing talents to TV and he started writing for various sitcoms such as, BET’s “Nothin’ But a Women,” the WB’s “The Parent’Hood” and UPN’s “Moesha.” He won The Media Projects 2000 SHINE AWARD for a Moesha episode he co-wrote for the sitcom formally starring Brandy.
With over 10 years of scoring experience, Matthew has found much success in the realms of film and media. His composition credits include numerous scores for movies, documentaries, and even commercials. Working with The Horne Brother's production company, Matthew served as the composer of the award winning documentary, The Start of Dreams featuring and starring Tony Award winning Broadway Director, Kenny Leon.
Daniel has gotten his hands wet in a number of different industries in addition to freelancing his graphic design skills on multiple jobs. This experience has allow him to become an individual with a solid background in many different fields making him the perfect person to fill the role of creative director within the company.
